Who Opposes Initiative 1000?

In Washington, the Coalition Against Assisted Suicide has formed to combat I-1000, the assisted suicide initiative that is being promoted for the 2008 ballot. Tens of thousands of Washingtonians have joined together with the Coalition Against Assisted Suicide to oppose Initiative 1000.

Women and men across this state, caregivers, families, hospice care providers, senior citizens, people with disabilities, physicians and nurses, young adults and people of faith are working together to get out the word in their neighborhoods and communities about the dangers of I-1000.

The following is a partial list of a few of those individuals and organizations. More people are joining our efforts each day… If you’d like to join the coalition formally, please feel free to sign up here. We’ll keep you abreast of activities and events and how you can help 'get out the word' to your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
